Injury Prevention Coaching
(The anticipated launch date is April 1, 2011.) Injury Prevention Coaching is virtual, one-on-one coaching with Dr. Berkey. Your specific needs will be addressed. Together, you and Dr. Berkey, will assess your personality style, training goals, past medical history, and much more. In addition, this new revolutionary approach includes a virtual Running Analysis to assess your specific movement and biomechanical contributions that may be causing pain or inhibiting your performance. Tools from Exercise Central are combined with the Running Analysis and other needs assessments to help you meet your training needs.
This program is designed for the beginner to intermediate triathlete who may have a history of an overuse injury or who wants to take a preventative approach to their training. The Injury Prevention Coaching places particular focus on the biomechanics of running because it has the highest rate of injury. In instances that further, hands-on evaluation and treatment are required, you will be recommended to your local medical specialist. In some cases, a list of recommended clinician can be provided.
