I am excited to have recently been trained and certified as a Retul fitter. I am furthermore excited to have gotten the opportunity to interview one of the co-founders of Retul, Mr. Todd Carver, to get the behind the scenes story of the company and its vision to help cyclists. Enjoy the interview!

Now Mickey runs half marathons and marathons while carrying the Cody's Crew flag to spread the word of fighting neuroblastoma and to carry Cody's memory.Neuroblastoma is primarily a childhood cancer. It accounts for 7% of childhood cancers and affects approximately 650 children each year in the United States. Neuroblastoma intially attacks the developing nerve cells and can spread to the lymph nodes, bone marrow, liver, and other organs. Long term survival rates vary greatly depending the upon the stage in which the cancer is diagnosed. <itunes:summary>On Sept. 18th and 19th, the SavageMan Triathlon will take place at Deep Creek, Maryland. The race has been listed in the top 100 best races in the March 2010 issue of Triathlete Magazine. This race is infamous for the 31% grade climb know as the Westernport Wall. Many participants have fallen of their bicycles while attempting to climb this intimidating hill. After the wall, athletes continue to face the non-stop climbs of western Maryland on the bike and on the run. This triathlon is extreme and is legitimately the toughest 56 mile bike in triathlon. But this triathlon has a much deeper meaning then pushing athletes to their limits.
The SavageMan Triathlon supports skin cancer research and raises awareness. Check out the following alarming statistics.-One in five Americas develop skin cancer.
-Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the U.S.
-Melanoma rates have tripled in the past 30 years.
Enjoy the interview of Greg Safko, race director, to learn about how savage this triathlon is and how it raises skin cancer awareness with the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation (http://www.melanomaresource.org/). </itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>It is often difficult to get an effective workout on the road. Jody and I recently went on a two week business retreat. Everyone has their specific criteria for selecting lodging accommodations. An adequate fitness facility is one of my top criteria. And what have we learned from our searching experience? We’ve learned that those website pictures have proven to be awfully deceiving when it comes to size and quality of fitness equipment. So, try as I might, we typically arrive and discover that we were had again! This three part series is dedicated to those who share in this frustration. We’ve provided three days worth of travel workouts that can be done creatively, with minimal equipment. Day 1: Legs and Shoulders
Day 2: Chest and Triceps
Day 3: Back and Biceps

<itunes:summary>As an endurance athlete, you have to juggle work, training, and family...not to mention much, much, more. This podcast included an interview with Mark Jones. Mark Jones is a father of three, a loving husband, and a mathematical wiz. Mark is also a test pilot in the military. His job, oftentimes, made it difficult to balance life, not to mention training for a marathon. He had signed up for a marathon and had to forego the event due to work obligations. Eventually, he was able to compete and loved the experience. In an effort to live an non-traditional lifestyle to accomodate training and life, Mark had set up the mathematical consulting company, MultiplyLeadership.com (http://www.multiplyleadership.com/Multiply_Leadership/Home.html). His change of lifestyle had been inspired by Dan Miller of 48Days.com (http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?af=1210348). Check out this interview to experience his story. Sometimes, although we feel like it, we are not alone in dealing with the stresses involved in balancing our lives. Misery loves company.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>It is challenging to find the right physical therapy clinic to treat endurance athletes. At many STINO clinics (”Sports Therapy in Name Only”), it is not uncommon for athletes to be evaluated only to be told they should avoid running or cycling. For those who share a love for endurance activities and have trained so hard for races, this is simply not acceptable. In many cases, with a thorough biomechanical analysis and systematic therapy, this does not always need to be the status quo. <itunes:summary>Who is 90 Revolutions? Learn about Jody and my story and how 90 Revolutions began. I have been always been interested in furthering my competitive drive in endurance sports and Jody, my loving wife, has been tremendously supportive. Jody also has a quiet but competitive drive that is more focused on personal goals than one crushing her competition. So when our neighbor, Barbara, invited her to run the next Pittsburgh Marathon with her, half of her was excited by the challenge, while the other half secretly was already exhausted at the thought of the training and commitment involved. My physical therapy training has helped both of us participate in endurance sports without pain so we can make it a lifestyle. Learn why we has chosen to revolutionize the traditional thought process of the medical field and help endurance athletes optimize their performance, minimize any chance of injury, and ensure that they compromise nothing. Also, stay tuned for later "Getting Started" episodes to ensure that you are safely preparing for a triathlon.</itunes:summary>
